During a general home inspection, you will get little more than a cursory review of your plumbing system. If it is in good working order, there is usually not any need for further investigation. However, there may be times when a plumbing inspection is needed. This process is more detailed, giving you all the information you need about the system and what is or isn’t working as it should.
During the plumbing inspection, we will, of course, inspect the usual suspects first: bathroom and kitchen sinks, showers, and toilets, but that’s not all. For instance, over the course of our plumbing inspection, we will look at your above-ground pipes, such as the traps underneath the sinks around your home and your shut-off valves. We also check things like your water filtration system and your water heater to make sure that everything is functioning well and that nothing is at risk of developing problems soon.
At its core, a plumbing inspection is meant to take careful and thorough stock of what your home is working with in regard to its plumbing. We aim to give you a holistic idea of what the state of your plumbing system is at the moment, as well as provide you with actionable steps to deal with any problems we may have found during the plumbing inspection.
With regular inspections, you can make sure that the plumbing in your home is always working at the peak of its ability and that you are able to stay on top of any developing problems before they become damaging and expensive.
